The Tower and the Garden, an interdisciplinary evening of works for chorus and string quartet, including the Midwest premiere of Gregory Spears The Tower and The Garden and the world premiere of The Beatitudes  by Jorge Muñiz, at Indiana University South Bend (May 10, 2019). The Tower and the Garden was co-commissioned with Donald Nally and The Crossing, Robert Geary and Volti; and Mark Shapiro and Cantori New York, with support from the Ann Stookey Fund for New Music.

The CD of John Eaton’s Sor Juana Project is scheduled to be issued by Aquava New Music Studio on March 30, directed and produced by Carmen-Helena Téllez for the John Eaton Foundation.

Philip Glass’s A Madrigal Opera, Parts III and IV, a performance with dance and video, for the festival honoring the 80th birthday of the composer at the University of Notre Dame (March 29, 2019)


Robert Kyr’s Paradiso was issued by Albany Records in December of 2018. It was the culmination of The Dante Project, a project supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Paradisowas commissioned with the support of the Ann Stookey Fund for New Music.

La Flauta Mágica de los Andes: a trans-traditional adaptation of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte for the Orquesta de Instrumentos Andinos of the Teatro Nacional Sucre of Ecuador, with a translation to Spanish and Kichua, production and staging by Chía Patiño. Reorchestration from a foundational concept by Segundo Cóndor for Andean instruments by Carmen-Helena Téllez (June 14-24, 2018)
